Privacy Notice

This notice explains what Warren County Released Inmates may collect, how that information supports the site, when another party may receive it, and what choices visitors have. Using this private site means accepting the practices described here. Official records accessed through Missouri Sunshine Law, chapter 610, remain governed by the agency that provides them and are not stored here.

Information You Choose to Submit

Terms Sent Through Search Tools

When a visitor enters a name, location, or similar detail in a search box operated by an outside provider, the query goes to that provider for processing. Warren County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policies control its handling of the submission.

Messages Sent to the Site

An email or contact-form message may be retained for as long as needed to read it, respond, and maintain the related correspondence. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Data Collected During a Visit

Normal web operations may create limited technical and usage data when a page loads. That data may include:

  • The device's Internet Protocol address.
  • The browser type and software version.
  • The device category and operating system.
  • Pages opened and the time spent on them.
  • The referring website, when one is supplied.
  • The date and time associated with a request.

Cookies and Browser Controls

Cookies may be used to understand how people move through the site and to support ordinary features. A visitor can block or remove cookies through browser settings, although a feature may work differently or become unavailable after cookies are disabled.

Reasons the Data Is Used

Collected information supports limited operational purposes:

  • Operating the site and maintaining reasonable page performance.
  • Sending an initiated query to the outside search service selected by the visitor.
  • Understanding which Warren County guides visitors find useful.
  • Detecting, diagnosing, and correcting technical problems.
  • Presenting advertising that may relate to a visitor's interests.

Privacy Beyond This Website

Links may lead to the Warren County Sheriff, Missouri Department of Corrections, courts, federal or immigration locators, public-record portals, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy notice and terms govern its collection and use of data.

Advertising providers may use technology on their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based advertising. That tracking is performed under the provider's practices, not as a Warren County government record function.

Parties That May Receive Data

This site does not sell personal information. Depending on the feature used and applicable legal duties, information may be processed by:

  • A search partner that receives a query submitted through its tool.
  • An analytics provider that measures site performance and use.
  • An advertising network serving or measuring advertisements.
  • Law-enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order.

Reasonable Security, Not a Guarantee

Standard safeguards are used to reduce foreseeable risks to information handled by the site. No website, network, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure. This notice therefore does not promise that a breach, interception, loss, or unauthorized access can never occur.

Visitors Younger Than 18

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek or collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal information, a request may be made through the Contact Us page so the material can be reviewed for deletion.

Choices About Personal Data

Subject to applicable law and the site's ability to verify a request, a visitor may ask to:

  • Receive a copy of personal data the site holds about that visitor.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information that is eligible for erasure.
  • Opt out of certain forms of processing where that choice applies.

These choices concern data held by this private site. Requests about a Warren County booking record, a MODOC offender record, or a court file must go to the government office that maintains it.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as the site or its practices change. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted here with an updated effective date.
